Bianca was just finishing prepping a late lunch in the kitchen. Milagro had just gotten up and pulled herself down stairs. Jaime was out back doing some yard work. One of those 'while you're home' sorts of chores.
Alberto was at the shop, but he was supposed to be back in a couple of hours.
Bianca, being the good hostess that she was, had even compiled a list of stuff to do for when people managed to filter in for food. She hadn't been keeping too close an eye on people, but she had already judged all of Jaime's friends to be good people.
She hadn't been sure about a female roommate, but Didi seemed like a young woman with a very level head on her shoulders. He imagined she was good for him. Calming. And Dinah was a sweet girl. Very sweet. 'Berto approved, too.
She hummed as she got the last of the lunch set out on the counter.
