Recipie - White Pizza with Ground beef and cheddar

White pizza is a big argument amoungst food critics. I happen to like both varieties, but for the record, New York style is made with a garlic and olive oil base, while Italian style is made with white Alfredo sauce.

While I usually prefer to make my own ingreedients, I tend to forgo the fancy stuff with this pie, and I figured if I was going to do a recipie blog, I might as well open it up with something simple.

Ingreedients:

- Frozen prepared pizza dough, enough for 1 12-inch pizza
- Fresh chopped mushrooms (to personal preferences)
- 0.5 lb ground beef
- 1 cup (or to personal preference) garlic alfredo sauce
- basil (to personal preference)
- Oregano (to personal preference)
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- one medium cooking onion, coarsely chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- three tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cups shredded Cheddar cheese (or again, to personal preference)

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 375 F. (190 C)
2. Heat oil in frying pan, and brown ground beef along with garlic, mushrooms, salt, pepper basil and oregano. When ground beef is halfway cooked, add the onion.
3. After beef is browned, drain and add the cup of alfredo sauce, mixing thoroughly. Leave to simmer on medium-low about 5 minutes.
4. Spread ground beef mixture over pizza crust and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
5. Bake in the preheated oven about 10-15 minutes.

Note: Cheddar cheese typically does not retain moisture in heat the same way as mozzerella does, so be prepared for a layer of apparent 'grease' on top of the pizza when it comes out. This is in fact no more than regular mozzerella pizza, so simply allow it to settle before cutting into it.
