Normally, I don't mess with New Year's resolutions. They're usually impossible to achieve, or else too cheesy for words; it's just not worth messing with in my book. But this year, as I enter my second half-century (Well, I hope that's what I'm doing), I've decided to change my usual activity this time of year and make some (again, hopefully) achievable resolutions, to wit:
- I'm going to tell the people I love "I love you" more often
- Stealing a page from elasait , I'm going to lose 20 pounds in the next year
- I'm going to make a concerted effort to get back to the real me. I feel as though I've been impersonating myself for a few years now, and I really don't like that feeling. Lachlan and my children have expressed a desire for their "little hippie mama"--so I will try to get back to that.
- I'm going to write more--daily, if possible, and gain the courage to let others read what I write.
- I'm going back to daily meditation. I've let that slip away this past year, and I'm not happy about that.
- I'm going to make more garb--with more of an eye towards accuracy.
- I'm going to finally enter something in the Queen's Prize Tournament.
- I'm going to grow my hair down to my ass--and not cut it off this time!
-
That should keep me busy awhile, don't you think? I do, too! So, wish me luck!
