I am a month in to my internship and 72 days away from ending my 10 year journey towards a bachelors degree. I almost cannot believe it is real. I really want to be a Recreational Therapist and look foward to where the Lord takes me. I am willing to move away for a job. Though I wish I could keep working here in Detroit. I love this city. I even love the commute. I find it to be a real joy to get up have the house to my self in the quiet dark mornings. I enjoy the drive, though I would not say it is always peaceful. It is only a 40 minute drive. It is so cool to have studied something that excites you and then put it into practice and see lives be improved because of it. I also have enjoyed staying in Detroit with friends a few days a week, it is a nice break, financially and socially. I am terrified about what will happen in April, but am trying to be proactive in job hunting.
