aging and pt

Hey all

Can physical therapy become harmful as one ages? I ask for two reasons. Last week my friend came over and was talking about how her body was spasming more. She doesn’t receive pt and so my parents (who were there also) sang the praises of pt. I was nervous to suggest it because she hasn’t had it in a long time and is 35. Second, I’m 25 and have been having pt since I was 6 months old. I am experiencing more pain and spasming after my pt sessions recently. My therapist is great - has been with me since I was nine. But recently I have been wondering, “is this doing more harm than good?”   Any suggestions, stories, etc. are greatly welcomed.
Thanks
