People in decline

Mar 17, 2009 21:20

It's sad to see someone who you've dealt with over the years who was once vibrant now in signs of decline. It's expected when you age. I saw it in my
mom. Maybe it's different when you see it gradually, but it comes as somewhat of a shock when you see the person once a year. I had two cases like this in the last few days. Both women are in their 80s and showing signs of forgetfulness and confusion. Fortunately, their daughters were with them and I dealt with them when I had questions. It's eithe something is forgotten or too much information is provided.

The office manager was told again to cut staff hours by only keeping the required two people in the office at any time. (Unless someone has an appointment.) Anyway, since I do have the appointments and people do request me, my hours weren't cut.
