The greatest upset in college football history

YES! Division 1-AA Appalachian State from Boone, NC defeated 5th ranked Michigan 34-32 before over 100,000 fans in Ann Arbor this afternoon. I'm loving every minute of this as the Ann Arbor Arrogant Asses of Lloyd Carr were soundly beaten. This will definitely be front page news and bold type on the sports section as well. (If you can't tell, I despise U-M with a passion.)

What will be the consequences? Michigan, as usual, shows how overrated they truly are. They'll plummet in the polls. And be laughed at. Coach Carr should pull a Larry Craig and resign out of embarrassment.

Congratulations to the Mountaineers of Appalachian State University.

And here's an excerpt from Mitch albom's column about the game:
The ant tripped the elephant. The skinny guy kicked sand in the bully's face, grabbed his girlfriend and stole his car. Some kids from Appalachian State came down from the Blue Ridge Mountains and delivered a sermon in Michigan Stadium, before 109,000 non-believers.
