[Room 307] Coming Home From Hockey

Weiss sort of shuffled into his dorm room. He had just come back from the Los Angeles vs. Washington game. The seats Parker had bought him were fantastic, the company better, the popcorn iffy, and the beer sellers way too clever. After the game was over, though, he didn't say a thing the entire way home. He flumped onto his bed

"Yes." Parker had said this at the arena, and was determined to keep saying it. "Which blows." And she was going to keep saying that, too.

"Oh, man, my brother is never gonna let me hear the end of this," Weiss said.

[mparkerceo]

"Oh, he can just bite me." Parker grimaced, and admitted, "I didn't always follow where the puck was, but L.A. was miles better! They took it into overtime! This was *so* close...." She pouted, and flopped back on the bed next to him, glaring at the ceiling.

"Still, I'm really glad I went," Weiss said. "I mean, it's better to be pissed off about your team losing than it is to just have no clue."

Parker considered that. "I guess," she said grudgingly. "And it was a good game." She pouted again. "But now we need to get tickets to one where they *do* win."

"Hey, you've gone back in time before," Weiss said. "We'll just head back to a really awesome Kings game or something."

"Hmmmm." Parker grinned, thinking of this, mood lightening. "We could pick one, I could not tell you how it ends, but you'd know your guys won? That would be cool." She flipped over on her stomach, kicking her legs in the air. "Aside from a winning hockey game, what would you go back in time for?"

[weissguy_]

"Uh... I dunno. I'd wanna meet Houdini, I guess," Weiss said.

"Ooo. Go back and watch an original show. That would be pretty cool." Parker looked thoughtful. "Bardspeare in the original-- nah." She made a face. "All the parts were played by men anyway."

[weissguy_]

"Yeeeeeah," Weiss said. "I dunno. I'm pretty much lovin' the present."

Parker grinned over at him, legs still scissoring back and forth in the air. "Oh, really? Hmmm. No wish to be a major league baseball player, or a space cop? No diamonds, or plans for Mexico?"

"That stuff'd be cool, but y'know, I'm already working for the one thing I really want. Everything else is bonus," he said.

"CIA," Parker said aloud. "When you're Mr. Superspy, I can get you deals on black helicopters. Or maybe the newest spy toys." She smiled a little. "Pays to keep in touch."

[weissguy_]

"I'm pretty sure the US Government likes to make its own deals under the table," Weiss said. And he shifted ever so slightly.

Parker watched him, not moving, but toed off her shoes, letting them fall to the floor. "And supplies would be boring for you, I guess." She lay her head down on the mattress, closing her eyes. "Undercover ops, exotic locales...."

[weissguy_]

"Fat guy in a van. 'Breaker breaker, you've got a bogey on your tail,'" Weiss said.
