[He hangs up the phone and turns to her]

Lyon, you have to understand. The people we kill are people who have done something wrong, but the law can't touch 'em for various reasons. You know, like money or power.

That doesn't make what you're doing okay or right. You're just like Nether Gate.

No, it doesn't make it right. But if I have to bloody my hands so some kidnapped kids can go home and sleep under their parents roof again, so be it.

Not really no...[If she wants to hit him, he'll let her for about two seconds before trying to fight back.]

[Nah, that's not how Lyon does things. She's just frustrated. A few seconds more and she sighs, letting the tension out.]

Ah, so you're like Omi then. [This just kinda slipped out.] I didn't start until I was 15 but I didn't have much choice in the matter.

No... not exactly. I'm kind of the opposite, really. Omi was rescued by assassins and trained to be one. Commander Ferid took me away before my training was complete. Nether Gate steals newborns from their parents and raises them to be cold-blooded killers. It's not just training, it's more like brainwashing. In just two more years, I'd have been a full member, remorselessly killing people for money just like the rest of them.

Ahh, alright. [Ken gives her a sympathetic look. He feels terrible for her and he wishes there was something he could have done.]

Lyon...I'm glad you were able to get out of that. No one should have to lead that life.
