He wasn't really shocked, she liked being out doors as much as he did and probably just went out to romp about while he made them some tea.  What he didn't expect was the package on the table for him.  Really? A regain already? But nothing really horrid had happened.  Oh

[When Ken comes back from his visit with Zevran, Miakis will have already returned from Thorfinn's, and she's feeling pretty crappy. She's sitting in the kitchen with a cup of coffee, and seems to be deep in thought.

Sob, so awkward.]

[He comes in, puffing and red from the cold]

Eh? Miakis? You're back huh. [He puts on a smile, she's a sight for sore eyes.]

You ok?

[sting_like_a]

Yeah, I had something to take care of~

[She looks up and weakly returns his smile -- then furrows her eyebrows, worried.]

I'm fine... [LIES] I should ask the same of you! Did you go out without a coat on?

[weiss_tank]

Yeah uh, I had somethin' to do and I kinda forgot...[He rubs the back of his neck] I'm ok though, some coffee and I'll warm right back up. Is there any hot water left?

[sting_like_a]

Yeah, there's plenty left~ [frown] Don't go getting sick, though! That's the last thing we need right now, you know.

[And she just kinda... trails off. Oh god how do you broach the subject of your forgotten secret love affair 8|]

Haha don't worry! I'm pretty hardy!

[Ken flashed her a grin, trying to be reassuring. While his encounter with Zevran had been awkward and painful, at least he was secure in the knowledge that he wasn't accidentally cheating on anyone.]

Ah...so it looks like the town is givin' stuff back early. Did you get anythin'?

Kinda weird, isn't it? They haven't even done anything bad to us, but here we are, getting stuff in the mail...

[Pause, sigh.] I didn't get anything you'd care about~ What about you?

[weiss_tank]

Just some memories...which makes no sense but ah...never mind. At least it wont bite me in the ass like when Nagi got his powers back or anything.

[He manages a weak laugh and goes to make himself some coffee]

I care anyways...whatdja get? [He's more curious then anything]

[Miakis just... stares. Well, this is weird.]

...I got memories, too. Huh. That's different.

Memories too huh? I didn't even know I was missin' them. They're still all a huge jumble though, I'm still tryin' to sort them out.

[He looks back at her with a sigh.]

You don't look too happy about the ones you got back.

Yeah, it's really confusing. I didn't think the town actually screwed with our memories, though, unless we went to the post office! So, great, that's something else we have to worry about.

--Ah, well, I'm happy about it, but at the same time, I... [frown] It's a long story.

[Long stories never turned into something good, but he wanted to be here for her.]

So, um... remember Thorfinn? [DEEP BREATH.] We've met before, apparently, back during the war.

Thorfinn? You mean that over aggressive confused kid that acts like a viking out of a manga?

That Thorfinn? I didn't know he was from your world.

[sting_like_a]

Yeah, that Thorfinn. I didn't know, either... I'm still kinda confused.

But we met during a battle -- as enemies. And... well... [Yeah, she's hesitating. She wants to be honest and talk this out, but she can't stand the idea of breaking her poor hubby's heart like this. ;A;]
