All Good Things...
This is not the post I thought I'd be writing today.
The problem, though? I didn't have a post I wanted to be writing today. I have one queued and ready to go, but I just didn't want to spend the time on doing it. Wasn't really in the mood last week, either, or the week before that, and that means that it's probably time to move on. At the heart of it this was a hobby - a weird, rather mean-spirited hobby no doubt, but something I did, for all it made me rage, because ultimately I enjoyed doing it - and when a hobby starts to feel like an obligation and the only satisfaction is in getting it done at all so you can move on to something else that's a bit more productive, that's probably a sign it's best to let it not-so-quietly drop.
So, from now on this journal will not be updated regularly. I have a few more fanfics I found on archive trawls and really want to write up at some point, including at least one multi-part endeavor, and will be finishing the posts for them over the next few months. These will be posted on an as-and-when basis. Beyond that point, who knows. It's been a good run and I feel, weirdly, as if it's been a lot more helpful to me than I ever suspected it would, but it's time to let it go.
Thanks to all my readers, past and present. For getting it, for encouraging me, for making me feel a little less alone. Maybe it's not been the world's noblest endeavor, but I had fun.
