Gayle King Interview

May 12, 2010 13:10

Did this get posted? I don't think I've seen it.

Gayle King interview with Johnny Weir.

All in all, enjoyable interview. I admit to getting a bit uncomfortable with the outright gay-baiting, trying to get him to say that he was definitely gay, and even going so far as to question his diplomatic answer. And, yet, Johnny still managed to side-step her and to do it with class. He must get so sick of that.

I have to admit, I'm curious about what will happen when he falls in love again. He's got this kind of sad thing going on with his statements about his lack of marriageability, and being someone who doesn't need anyone else (um, darling, your life would be so much less of a hot mess if you had someone stable in it), and being a cat, and yadda -- sometimes I admit to thinking, "Damn, what did Drew say to him during their excruciatingly long break up?" It doesn't actually seem like a healthy, independent mind-set to me, but almost like a "I am damaged goods, who'd want me" sort of vibe. But...yeah, I might be reading into it. I tend to do that. Stan! Stan!!! :P

Anyway! If this has been posted before, my apologies. Just, you know, enjoy it again, or whatever!
