[IC Journal - Zaifar] Written Journal Entry - "Signs and Relics"
---
DCDC Official Statement as of June 13 (3:53am):
The source of the magical affliction has been determined to be an ancient Kal'dorei artifact found in the Ruins of Kel'theril within Winterspring. An excavation team (one that secures powerful artifacts away so no evil uses can be made of them) was in the area searching for a different artifact when they stumbled across this one. It had a protective trap which manifested itself as this magical affliction.
The DCDC has put out a call. Gear and a soon-to-be developed resistance potion will be provided as we head off to dig through the night elf ruins of Winterspring. Will you be one of the heroes to answer the desperate call of the people?
Alliance, please sign-up with Mariius.
Horde, please sign-up with Tanirus.
Date of Expedition: June 15th, 7:00pm ((server time))
-Dalaran Centre for Disease Control (DCDC).

So the source was a Kaldorei relic. It is always the elves. Always the elves. Why, I am not surprised by this.
I would like to partake in the expedition, however, time constraints and Ezidran needs to be taken care of.
He started showing signs of hallucination today. I have observed him talking to the 'Captain' in the cell but Captain was not there at all. Then he mentioned he felt tears in his eyes when it is a fact that we undeads do not cry or leak bodily fluids.
He has not displayed any volatile behavior nor violent tendencies so far. He was calm later on but currently, he is talking in Thalassian and 'holding hands' with non-existent people. Probably hallucinating his ex-fiancee.
It is sad to watch him in this state. The Argent Crusaders are trying to engage in a conversation with him and keep him snapped back to reality. It does not work all the time since he ignores us at times but it is worth a try.
I also heard that a vaccine to suppress hallucinations has been developed and I am trying to make a request for supplies of the vaccine. The DCDC agreed to send me three boxes of it but I have yet to receive it. Perhaps they need to cater to the patients in Dalaran first. Understandable.
Zain is anxious too. I could see the expression on his face when I took him to see Ezidran's current condition. He asked for Ezidran's keys to his apartment so he could send someone to look after his cats while he is quarantined.
For now, I can only wait and observe while the vaccines get transported here.
