[IC Journal/Letter - Evariste] A Letter to Sigrún - "Star-Crossed Friendship II - Time, I need it"
Dear Sigrún
I apologize for the delays in reply. I am disappointed in myself for not making time to write to you or even ask you out to the Summer Splash event two weeks ago. Yet alone to be able to make it to Dalaran to see you often.
Thank you for answering my questions, it's lovely to hear someone of humble background, like you, has decided to be adventurous and ambitious to pursuing what you like to do. You're a very open-minded lady, Sigrún, I admire that.
It is sad to hear about the political turmoils happening in Alliance, likewise for Horde - We have our own civil threats, it's unbecoming. Kor'kon army guarding in Undercity, criminals and cultists in Silvermoon City, fights and discrimination in Orgrimmar and Thunderbuff. It's so different... from the days when I was a Quel'dorei. The Horde may have gotten used to it by now, but not me.
I would have chosen Lordaeron and the Alliance as my home if not for my family following the Horde.
I am torn as well. I have friends in Alliance, such as you.
But my family, the Evensongs, have chosen to reside in Silvermoon.
My family members are not incredibly wealthy people nor nobles but we enjoy performance arts and music, we have been performing for various noble houses' social parties and theatres since Quel'thalas' glorious days. Our activity and presence have dwindled down since we joined Horde. Not many members of the Horde are interested in theatre acts or orchestras anymore, we were forced to sing and perform propaganda plays for awhile when Prince Kael'thas still reigned over Silvermoon City, it's all quite a disappointment. I find myself having a hard time getting back into entertainment business or performance acts these days. Sometimes I wonder would things be different if I went with the Alliance forces instead.
I am lamenting in this letter. I am deeply sorry.
I miss you, I suppose.
"Humanity is short-lived and prone to mistakes, but we accomplish much when guided by a noble ideal."
I had to read this quote over and over again, I realized how much I admire humans and adore their zeal and how they live their lives, even if they do not live for a long time like we do. Well said, Sigrún.
If I have the time some day, I do plan to disguise as a Quel'dorei and come visit Stormwind or hitch a portal to Dalaran to meet you.
It's a promise.
Your Friend,
Evariste Evensong
