Okay, I know many don't really like emo, but I believe there is one band that should be appreciated for it's emo-ness.

BRIGHT EYES!!

I just recently found my cd with all my Bright Eyes favorites on it and remember why I love them so.

Beautiful lyrics...everytime I go to the JM board (*ahem*), there's this girl with this HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE, talking HUUUUUGE friggin picture of Conor Oberst, and it's like dude...this is a JM board.

Anyway, is Bright Eyes your current obsession? I've only heard a few of their songs, but I've never heard any of these songs. I want to hear "A Perfect Sonnet" because the lyrics are pretty. So, you know what to do. *cough* No pressure...I just want it in my inbox by 11:15 am tomorrow.

I really don't get why people act like they "hate" emo. *rolls eyes* So stupid. Don't let them get you down! You just keep on loving it! (Like freaking Bethany who makes fun of me because I like blues....so freakin' what, I mean, SHE'S the one listening to Akon's "Lonely" and the Pussycat Dolls. COME ON NOW. WHAT THE HECK IS THAT? Sorry. Personal moment.)

Conor? As in almost CONNER? Feb 15? GAH! *fangirl freak out* hehe.

I've heard the suicide song before. I always nod whenever I hear it, because I can't dance to that and I kinda understand whatever he's talking about. I never got if he went through with it in the end.

Lyrics=angsty love. They make me want to go homeless for a while (more so than I ususally do) or run away for a few days. Or hug someone downtown and get punched.

I got you on the innuendo. It seemed KIND of gay to me, but then I thought he could be singing to a girl...but that didn't make much sense. I dunno, whenever I think of emo boys they're more like girls to me. Eye make up and tight clothes, whining constantly.

Don't you love 'em. Thanks for this, it matches the weather perfectly.

I hate to be pedantic, especially as you don't know me and vice versa but Bright Eyes aren't emo.

(Oh, and sorry for the random stalkiing - My intentions aren't bad, I swear!)

I'm not sure if you were expecting a response or not but I did some stalking as well, and wanted to know what is the name of the song on your myspace page...sounds great...
