We haven't had the electricity since Saturday morning, which was hell on Sunday but really hasn't been that bad due to a freakish (at least for Houston) fall-like cold front. I was starting to get a tan from cooking all our meals outside. Our house and our neighbor's house were the only two in the neighborhood that didn't get power back on Saturday night. My sister has been calling every 8 hours to try to get someone out here (going so far as to threaten to set the transformer on fire) but because it's a transformer (I expect to look outside and see Optimus Prime) that's jacked, they put us on the bottom of the list. But now, sweet mercies, the air conditioning is on.
I have internet and cable again. I thought I could go full frontier but I was mistaken. Sadly mistaken.
