And for a little background...
Last year, about 3 weeks before graduation, there was a suicide in the senior class. His name was Sal, and he was one of the friendly people I've ever known. Extremely happy (on the outside anyways), a great violinist, a great singer. And the night of the senior awards assembly, the fact that he had killed himself started spreading through the senior class like wildfire. I never found out how... never wanted to find out how... but I remember going to his funeral. There were so many people there - I don't think i've ever seen that many people at one funeral. The entirety of the day after, there were constantly people in the upstairs library, in tears. It was never publically announced to the school, no notice went around, nothing... and yet everyone knew.
I see random posts every once in a while that remind me, and I just want to say this - no matter what, I am here ti listen to anyone who is even remotely considering suicide. I will talk with you, I will walk you down to see someone, I will even see someone on your behalf it that's what it takes. Anything, so that no one I know will ever have to deal with that.
Sorry for the melancholy post... it's just been on my mind for the last week or so, and has definately been hit home by this bulletin.
