Yes. I do.
I lived in England about a year, in the United States about a year and in Switzerland about 4 years. And been to many cities like Toronto, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Boston, New York, Saipan, Amsterdam, Dusseldorf, Munich, Liverpool, London, Stockholm, Paris, Nice, Monaco, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Cologne, Prague, Vienna, Rome, Florence, Milan, Venice, Madrid, Barcelona, Naples, Pisa and there might be more. When I travel, I don't go to musium wherever tourists mostly go but I rather just take a walk around in the city and observe what people in the city are doing and how their day life look like and their behaviors and cultures. So, if you ask me about ANY famous place I have been to, I have nothing to say but some restaurants, pubs, how to travel and cultural diversity. OK. Honestly if someone asks me if I remember any of Nice, my answer is 'NO' but Nice reminds me of a very old guy who was wearing a skin colored thong in the beach. On the other hand, a city like Las Vegas, where I went to twice. First time was with my boy friend and we stayed at the Luxor in a super size suite room and second time was all by myself but for a month. Once I got there at the second time I made friends and they were really nice to me and took me around here and there in Las Vegas. I have memories about Las Vegas than Nice. Not because of the period I was there for but because I actually had fun with local people there and spent time like a local. OK. Here is my point. If you wanna travel then go to any place where you can hang out with the local. Then you will be back home with some memories. You can learn cultures and history from museum or whatever statues or buildings but those you can learn from books, even though it is not very close to real you see with your eyes. But living like the local is something you can not get from books and the experience will surely be different from the one that ordinary tourists had.
OK. Like I said earlier, I love traveling. I am going to Guam at the end of this month. I will be alone and I know nobody in Guam. I just go there because I haven't been to any country in Asia but even now because of SARS I can't go any in Asia, so I just go to Guam instead and I will persist to the last that Guam is in ASIA.
