There's nothing quite as refreshing as a long-winded story about not much...

So just because i love to tell stories about my life, especially the health-related, long-winded griping type (Reader proceeds at own risk):

3 weeks ago today, i noticd a really sore feeling in my left pinky. At first i thought i has like pulled a muscle or something in a sweet piano-type move, but then the pain moved to my wrist and started creeping up my arm. By Wednesday morning it was time to see the doctor!! He diagnosed an inflamed Ulner nerve and prescribed tabulated Voltaren. Which did nothing, if not make my arm hurt more, and distribute the pain quiteevenly accross my hand. So Friday night, just before Recharge, i trekked back to the medical centre and requested consultation from a different guy. I had to wait for ages and started getting really worked up and rpactically burst into tears when i finally got to see him. He kept saying "Oh, but it's Friday night..." and i was like "....okaaay...what does that have to do with anything?"  then he gave me some super awesome cortizone/steroid type drugs which were blissful! But apparently you can only take them for 3 days... so Monday morning i had to go back and see him and then he said i had to stop taking the tablets and go see a physio for treatment (5 sessions free under Medicare - w00t!). But because of uni and other specialist appointment on Thursday morning, i couldn't go see him until Thursday afternoon. >>fast forward>> so i got to the physio and waited for ages, then blah blah blah physio session (ultrasound, most excruciating massage EVER and then this weird suction type thing that apparently soothes neurological/nerve pain). OWWW! Friday morning i woke up and could barely move said arm.... OWWWW!! It was like 50 times worse!! Plus he said that i shouldn't take any painkillers (including topical voltaren) just to see. I found out what he saw yesterday morning "Ah! So now we know that pain is real pain" .... ??? what the?? since when is pain not  "real"??????!!! grr anway arm is sore again post-yeaterday's session but feeling better. He's given me "strengthening excercises" to do with this awesome stretchy tube stuff. oh i forgot to mention that the condition is called "Golfer's Elbow" (distinct from "tennis elbow") that is so me, right?! Next week we start work on my right arm which is equally as sore... great, huh?!

p.s. the suction cup nerve soother thing left big hicky-type rings on my arm. i look like i've survived an octopus attack!
