hmm...

feeling very bored today. also feeling a bit like my blogular audience has departed of late.

"We’ve come a long way said the cigarette scientist as he destroyed a live rabbit to show the students how it worked. He took its heart out, plugged it into an electric pump that kept it beating for nearly two hours. I know rabbits who can keep their hearts beating for nearly seven years. And look at the electricity they save." (Spike Milligan)

There was a guy on the news tonight talking up how in 100yrs apparently trees will be able to grow in Antarctica due to rising CO2 levels, global warming, melting polar caps, etc. He said something along the lines of "There's all this talk about terrorism, etc, which are fleeting problems, the bigger, more long term, damaging things like global warming and alternatives to fossil fuels (etc envrio/self-sustainability talk) are what we should be concerned with" (sorry ABC didn't have transcript available).

He's partially right. If only people could see the biggest problem of all is our broken relationship with God. Everything else is just a side effect. People are so caught up in our own importance and "influenece" in the world. The saddest part is that for them, the amazing gift and sacrifice that was made for us will go unnoticed, unappreciated. They won't save the world, they can't save the world, and refuse do the one thing they need to do, make the one choice they need to make. Praise God for working the mircales that he does, for saving me.
