Where was Asylum when I was an emo teenager (well, technically, it still existed...I was just oblivious to it on account of not living in DC/having no desire to ever go to DC)?
It was exactly the type of place I would have frequented as a teenager - dimly lit, playing alternative, post-grunge and indie rock, the whole bit. And they serve organic/vegan food (though I didn't really get into that until I went to the hippie-college).
My ex and I went there for lunch one day (it's really easy to miss if you aren't looking for it), and it was really great (and I felt fifty times cooler being inside).
