Baby! Magic!
I'm MAGIC!!
Last night Dad and I were babysitting my 5 yr old niece, Taylor and my 6 month old niece, Emerson. It was getting past Emmy's bedtime and she was starting to get fussy so I took her upstairs and rocked her for a bit in a dark room. She was passed out in something like 5 minutes.
I took Em's back downstairs to Dad and found Taylor spinning around in my desk chair. She'd also accidentally spilled my pop on the floor. I had her help me clean up the mess and bring some stuff upstairs and ended up betting I could get her to fall asleep the same way I did Emerson. It took three times as long and I ended up throwing in some backrubs as well but I did it. Getting Taylor to sleep like that is actually quite a feat, she's notoriously active and it wasn't even her bedtime yet.
My brothers were both very impressed with me when they came to pick up there girls. I got nugs and a 'you're hired' from both of 'em. Have to tell you I basked in their approval for awhile afterwards, I don't often get that from those two. And now my arms are a bit sore from holding Taylor for so long.
