CSI:NY~

I thought the premiere for CSI:NY was mediocre. The timing for the A plot seemed off, the twist of the B plot was fairly obvious. It didn't seem very cohesive, the two teams felt very separated.

I've started to flip away when a scene starts focusing on Lindsay, especially when gets carried away. She drives me nuts. So that's why I might sound tentative or unsure about some things, 'cause I'm not sure if I missed any of the good stuff while trying to avoid the shrew.

Back to the interesting stuff. Danny and Sheldon looked HOT in their first scene. I doubt the hotness faded any during the rest of the ep but that first scene just really struck me with how utterly yummy they both looked. I enjoy watching them work together, they have a nice chemistry.

That opening with Mac in bed with the new ME was interesting. It's nice to see Mac moving on, and getting some finally. But as a couple they seemed awkward. I don't know if that was on purpose, if it was supposed to be played that way, or if the there wasn't much chemistry between the actors.

CSI~

The two cases they were working were lame. The Cirque du Soleil case just kinda disappeared in the middle of the show. The 'cide case seemed kinda weak. The only good thing about that plot was when Sara gave his partner his affects and he put on the ring.

Was Greg really only in the ep once? I had to get up in the middle and deal with my dog so I missed a bit. I'm excited that Louise Lombard is a regular now. When I saw she'd been added to the credit's I was all "woo-hoo there's another regular detective!"

The scene with Warrick and Brass was a favourite. Those two have come so far since the first season. It was interesting that Brass got a tattoo of the date he was shot, very like him.

The scene with Nick and Catherine dancing was cute, they have lovely chemistry, but the whole John Mayer was unnecessary (and an e-word I can't remember right now). When Catherine's world started going fuzzy I may have yelled at the tv "What the hell are you guys doing?" I was already thinking that 'cause the club show felt like the closing scene of the show but there were almost ten minutes left. When Catherine woke up in the motel room all I think was oh god. I probably said that out loud too. As the scene progressed I moved on to asking "how could you guys do that to her?" to the writers. The miniature scene lost a lot of it's impact on me 'cause of being interspersed in Catherine's plight.

If I had to rate this ep I'd probably give it a 7.5/10.

P.S. - Gil looks much younger without his beard and I'm trying desperately to ignore any hints about Gil/Sara. Cause she annoys me nearly as much as Lindsay.

Shark~

Show was alright. Fairly predictable. Right after Stark's ex told him she and the daughter were moving to NY I knew that at the end of the ep she'd decide to stay with him. Stark's obviously one of those emotionally stunted men who cares deeply but can't find the words to express himself in-spite of the fact that in all other aspects of his life words are his to command. Dad said to me at the end of the show that the only reason to watch the show would be the father and daughter relationship and that the rest of the movie was boring. He's pretty caustic though. I'll probably watch another couple episodes to see if the show'll suck me in.

rating: 8.5/10
