I just got back from dinner with Tiffany and her parents.
It was boring as all hell. I was polite, well-mannered, I tried to make conversation. Completely different from any dinner I'd have with my family. They were very quiet, didn't talk about much. My family would have been talking the entire time. I only had a half decent conversation with Tiffany in the car on the way there, the rest of the time I was stifling myself. Her mom had been to an advanced screening of The Passion of Christ and was telling us her thoughts. That was intensely weird. I'm a fucking atheist and from what I've heard that movie is a bunch of fucking propaganda and yet I sat there and tried to make polite conversation about it.
We went to a well-known Japanese restaurant called Domo. It's definitely an experience. The chairs had no backs and I tried hard to sit up straight for the most part so my back's a bit sore now. This was the first time I'd really tried to use chopsticks for the whole meal. My hand was very tired by the time I'd finished eating and I ended up using my fork. I'd never really tired Japanese food before. A lot of it was very strange. My main course was chicken and noodles. The chicken was very yummy, the noodles were rather slimy.
On the way home I thought to myself 'Can I please go back my liberal circle and not do this ever again?'
bff,
not!fun,
