hey guys. i am a college student who lives in wyckoff and summer break doesn't officially start for me until i see the midnight walker cross russell ave. however, i heard a rumor that he recently passed away. can any bergen county-ites in the area confirm or deny this? thanks.

I went to see the midnight walker last night and he didn't come out. We waited about 45 mins before deciding to leave and try out gravity hill. when i came home i checked my facebook and i had 24 notifications all on the same status. my status was "going to see midnight walker". i had 24 comments on that status from different people say that he was dead and that he died last summer(2007). and people were arguing how he died some said age others said died while walking. i don't no if the way he died is true, but he is definitely dead

The midnight walker is not dead, when i was coming from school the other day, it was about 10:30 at night, I saw a man all dressed in black walking stopping when he saw my car at russel ave, when i slowed down for the stop sign, i saw the walker walking right toward me, i flashed a beam at his face and he walked in another direction toward the sidwalk near the bridge, I looked behind me to see the walker and i noticed, as the cars came by, he was moving in different directions.. as if the light was guiding him where to walk. With out a doubt in my mind it was the midnight walker, The midnight walker is still alive, but i thought it was wierd how he was walking at 10:30 instead of midnight... i asked my friends and they said that they too have seen the midnight walker walking in russel ave around that time as opposed to midnight.
