Hey everyone! I went to the McCoy House last night...nothing all that exciting but nice to know I checked it out nonetheless. Here are the pictures: http://good-times.webshots.com/album/558948007AgpiQX

Sorry to disappoint, but I don't think there really is a story. :( At least not one that I've heard. Just a random abandoned house. I'll try to go somewhere more interesting next time. :P

abandoned house on the franklin lakes/oakland boarder which will probably get torn down when they finally get to building the synagogue on the corner of mccoy and colonial even though there is a synagogue less than a mile away and they're going to be destroying a huge patch of forested land when there is no land left to develop in bergen county and we ought to preserve what we have left.

i hate everything they build in this area because it means they're tearing down or removing nature or old beautiful homes. i especially hate it when they build huge tasteless mansions.

yeah, it looks like there are some huge houses in the area. http://www.maps.live.com/ Check it out birds eye view.
I want to do a drive by on my lunch break tomorrow but I'm guessing it's a very patrolled area?

actually, cops in the FLOW bubble (as we residents call it) do jack for the most part. the only reason why cops would be in the area is because the house is located near Indian Hills High School (less than a mile away).

speaking of the large homes, i hate the houses across the street from this mccoy house. honestly, so many people build big houses, but they do a really poor job of it, picking ugly styles and facades. no charm, no taste.

yeah, I drove by today on my lunch break and went up the driveway to "turn around" and nobody seemed to care.

Yeah, some of those houses were rediculus. I hate those mcmansions. That's exactly what it is, they have no charm.
