Let the sunshine in! Let the sunshine in. But not the water.

Okay warning. This might just turn into a blogfest recounting everything that Peter O'Brien has been in and why I kind of like him. But then again I might go wild describing The Doctor's antics...WHO KNOWS! (Unintentional remark. And in all fairness I don't think that Doctor Who would really know, because a)there has to be way too many people ever talk about him to keep track that "weird_fin was meant to talk about the episode Waters of Mars in December 2009 but then rambled on for 3,000 words about of all things...me!" b)Yeah, he has better things to remember, like....which flavour tea he prefers, after all how many different planets and their different teas are there?)
Well, good episode or bad. Mmm. *tosses up question* I guess, good. I never can really say anything bad about any episode of my favourite shows. *facepalm* I *know* that includes too much trash then, I watch things from Ghost Whisperer, Californication to JAG and CSI's. I only can think of one stand out disappointment and that was because they played with deadly fire that was NOT meant to happen that way. The Boat. NCIS people I think that says it all.

*extremely hard headtodesk headdesk*

I was not meant to talk about anything other than Doctor Who here! ONLY DOCTOR WHO!
*coughs* Let's get back to it shall we?

Good episode.

Last night I got a comment saying i'd never be able to look at The Doctor the same way again, and that really intrigued me. But I'm going to say it, even though it got "darker" in terms of The Doctor and his whole deal. It didn't change my opinion of him. It really got to me in two times, once with Rose (I can't remember exactly which episode, maybe the Tyler meets Tyler ones?) and obiously the one with Donna telling him off for killing the spider children.

This episode, I can't see how they can go back.** I'll do my points about it then re hash to this bit. The episode had everything, soemthing scary the creatures the water had in them which was infecting people and using them as hosts, the crew, classic one by one "offs", and an individual that stands as The Doctor's equal. Captain Adelaide. *snort* I'm sorry, can't take the Aussie (which probably logically mean British via colonism) out of me. Adelaide. A- its a feminine femaley name if I ever heard it. And B- city Adelaide. Moving on. Peter O'Brien as the second mate! Aw, and didn't he want to actually DO something for once? You could obviously tell he was going to die doing something "heroic" but at least he got to die before it totally took over. And by GOSH those were quick hosting revolutions weren't they?? :O

Yeah, I kept forgetting Peter's name but I he's one of those Aussie actors I just love to recognise on screen! I never saw him in Neighbours. But he was in Water Rats. And The Bill. And little sci-fi aussie childrens shows like Spellbinder. He was in Wolverin Origins movie but I haven't seen that yet. You know, he seems to remind me of Hugh Jackman in a older wiser way...like he could have been Hugh's father? *strange*

I was already halfway through (I know a little slow), jumping up and down (in my head) yelling at The Doctor to just take them in his TARDIS! He was so torn up to choose whether or not to help. Even if it meant he had to insist on Adelaide staying to blow up base. He could have at least saved the other...five? And then everyone would have thought that they died along with Adelaide. You know, since the TARDIS isn't a recognised space ship, they would have had to have died. Then he didn't need to be too worried. But no he waits till the end when he can only save 3. *facepalm* I know. No show without, but still.

Adelaide' "end". Meh, guess it had to happen. Sorry Doctor but I'm sure you've had your fair share of things like that happen. You're what 900? C'mon don't tell me that's never happened in some form. The writer's are just showing us your darkness. But now I come back to point **. Now that they have really delved into the Doctor's power/right to change/not change time. How can they just "go back". They can't really. And it is wise that first off the Doctor HAS to regenerate. Not only because if he doesn't when the "he will knock four times" happens he'd have to die. REALLY die. Then because maybe, somehow having a new look will be supportive of the fun side the Dcotor has and to be able to let it show in the episodes. Otherwise, it'll just fall flat a bit won't it? 10th running around having fun after all this carnage? *puzzles over it* I do look forward to seeing The Master. He kind of looks like a Malfoy...coincedence? But I will miss David's infectious banter and glasses just like I miss Chris' bounce and "fantastic!" and both of their smiles. *sigh* Gosh, i've kind of fallen for a 900 year old man. I *really* need that iconed.

Other thing. Gadget. Not cute, but GADGET. When they were boosting Gadget be it with Doctor and Adelaide on top or by itself. Did anyone else want to yell out "GO GO GADGET GO GO!" ??? Anybody?

Inspector Gadget FTW.

I caught a bit of The 40 year old virgin tonight too, and actually it was much better than I had thought. The Office (US) is on this week, the adverts make me cringe. I am not watching that. Especially when there's too many other shows for me to keep track of! OH, before Dcotor Who started tonight, there was an ad for My Family, and guess who's doing a guest spot this Wednesday? Yes, it's John Barrowman! ^^ I am so tuning into that episode! If I remember to. I watch it from time to time, its good has its highly entertaining episodes at times.

Um, I think that's all... there's my fanfiction poll of course still open I might leave it until...when shall we say? This Wednesday? Just in case someone pops by, who hasn't in awhile.

Now I'm off to find the 3 others on the f-list and their spoiler filled stuff I previously avoided, be it post-thoughts or icons!
OMG. ICONS. >_< Hard drive beware! I have a stack of icons to go look at now! Hopefully (and this is bad hoping) none of them really attach themselves to me...

Oh yeah. The Doctor had to go to Mars by himself and to feel all alone and helpless just to have his epiphany there! *facepalm*

icons, 10th doctor, aussie actors, ncis, david tennant, tv, doctor who, movie, john barrowman, christopher eccleston
