Birthday events and thank yous
Happy belated birthday wish for last Monday janefire if you're still around here!

In other birthday things. What I did for mine and various thank you's to ma' LJ peeps! :D
On the Wednesday (actual birthday):
[the week of fun]+ Went to the local shops with a friend and we redeemed my free San Churros birthday voucher for a share plate of freshly made churros with cinnamon sugar and two dips (we chose milk chocolate & caramel). Super yummy! My friend then bought us both ice cream in a cone from San Churro's, I had red velvet in a plain waffle cone. So good. I've not had their ice cream before.
+Takeaway dinner, Indian, from on of the local shops with family (just mother and brother since dad was overseas for work)
+Opened family gifts, just 'filler' gifts from immediate family really, and some money from my cousins and grandma.
Thu
+Was a little late to my own shindig/gathering because manager called me up to ask about something from a few weeks back. I invited a few friends out for drinks/food, we went to three different places, with people leaving/arriving whenever they felt like it. It was nice, until almost midnight a friend offered a lift home a few of us followed her and we saw the carpark doors closing as we approached! The guy was pretty rude about it, and half of us were left on the other side of the doors, hoping our friends wouldn't have to pay the after hours 'exit fee'. Panicking a bit really, but they got there about two minutes before close he should have left at least one of the four doors open, he was just wanting to go home I think. I read the sign and it said 100 dollars to call a number to get someone to come down afer hours! Yikes. Luckily he was just grumpy and let them out, but wow not a great way to end the night!
Sat
+Went grocery shopping with mum, and got my free birthday Subway and drink, we shared that and a tv dinner for our meal when my brother was out at work, haha.
Tue
Dad got back Monday and was too tired sick to do much, I got cake to have Tuesday night instead.
Just a grocery store one, but one we haven't tried before. Red Velvet cake with raspberry cream cheese icing!
Yum, not amazing but not horrible.
Miscellaneous birthday redemptions
[food and retail]So other than San Churros, Subway. I had Boost freebie but forgot/was too lazy to get, I ended up getting myself the caramel popcorn smoothie last week for a special price though, yummy! Dymocks, I just stumbled across a cheap crime fiction book to use their birthday offer on. And I redeemed a voucher from a friend today in fact from last year, got myself a shiny time turner! Kikki-K and Witchery birthday vouchers will be used at some point later this month when I decide what to get, and Palace Cinema members free movie too.

[Hopefully I remembered everything]From xfirefly9x for a surprise dvd gift: Being Erica series 2 (I will try and remember to take photos and edit into this post)
Friends who came to my get together (I didn't expect presents but a couple still gave):
-one gave a cute bumblebee pack of soap and bath fizz bomb from Lush
-another my first H&M item (first every Australian H&M opened here in early April) a tube scarf -sequined and white
-two other friends gave a joint voucher to Gold Class cinemas
-I also got a couple of birthday cards from co-workers who came :)
