Kung Hei Fat Choi!
For yesterday, happy New Lunar Year (Chinese and all the other cultures that celebrate it)!
This is a moment I had earlier today- thought I'd share here.
Aswering the phone hearing a language you don't speak, then recognising the one phrase and replying back "Kung Hei Fat Choi!" before quickly handing the phone along to the appropriate person. The one time in the year answering Chinese family friends is okay. Also apparently person was 'impressed' with my pronunciation?
So that was a win.
Not so win was I was going to see a movie (probably August: Osage County) with a friend tonight but she ended up having a family dinner they hadn't told her about. Hopefully seeing it tomorrow morning instead. Tomorrow is hot though 39 degrees celsius, again with the heat? Stop it Melbourne!
//Random I also got my hair cut today. Back to above shoulders again.
I want a new icon or two. Or bring out my old SGA icons. I've started a rewatch (when I say rewatch it will be rewatching until end of s3 then 'new watch' for the final two seasons), may replace JAG icon if I have to. I've also been supporting my rewatch this week by reading fanfiction of John/Elizabeth again. Oh my. So many nostalgic feelings. SGA was one of the first fandoms I ever read fanfiction in after friends showed me fanfiction dot net. And it helped me find xfirefly9x. So yeah. ♥
