So cold, right now. *currently its 7.3c outside, inside isn't that cold but I'm still feeling a chill and I don't have the heater in my room on* Don't know why I'm up, other than I've just gone through the last four days or so of my friends page.
I've been fighting off a cold since Monday, but its only light-medium. Except yesterday when I just felt sucky. :P
So, haven't really looked up jobs...whoops. I have done two loads of washing already this week so, kind of win?

Since I'm up, why don't I go through my birthday week the other week shall I?
Friday 31st- My first birthday treat to myself. Saw Julie Andrews live in the flesh at a talk event in the city. Horrible rain and storms after coming out. But I can say I've sung in the same room at the same time as Miss Andrews and Nicholas Hammond. xD
Tues 4th (birthday)- slept in, received a card signed by some presenters from Fox FM (commercial radio station) because I'm on their music panel, funny that it came on my birthday, spent time printing out time sheets and trying to organise things to take to Centrelink. Dinner (nothing fancy), opened family present/card, and relative's present card that had been dropped off that weekend. I got a magazine subscription to ABC Delicious foods, and a bit of money. Was planning on treating myself to a movie but never got to it.
Wed 5th- Printed coupons with birthday offers/freebies. Met up with friend Chloe to use some of the free lunch things I got given.
I went and redeemed a free Boost Juice, one flavour that wasn't on the list Mango Berry Magic or something like that? Subway free six inch and free drink, we got the pizza sub since neither of us had tried that before and got it cut in half. Nice start to the day, yum. I also had brought a cup with me and we shared some of the Boost! Then we both gave in and just bought ourselves one small popcorn chicken from their $2 list. I had some offers for Hungry Jack's (not birthday related) and we chose to try the double mini-burgers for $2. We each got a mini conjoined burger with onion rings and something else in them. They were interesting, I don't think I much like Hungry Jack's mayo, its a bit odd tasting sweet but too sweet? Then we we're fairly full by now but I had dessert in mind for later so we browsed some shops and looked for some gear for my friend who is going away to Africa for four weeks later in the year! We looked at camping gear, and travel clothes and such things. We then went into Dymocks I used a spend over 30 dollars and get 10 dollars off voucher I received that morning along with 5 dollars worth of birthday credit I got for that month from being a member of Dymock booklovers program (free to join), and used a 20 dollar gift card from a survey program I'm signed up with. So I ended up buying Richelle Mead's (
blue_succubus) new book Gameboard for the Gods (which I had planned to buy on release day the day before but didn't go get) and a Doctor Who novel (its one with Martha there were so many to choose from). I only ended up paying 6.95 for both, originally 44.94 in total, haha. We then made our way over to the cinema area as my friend works in a company under Village Cinemas she is part of their corporate group and had heard of an offer she surprised me with on the day. Going to Gold Class (extra room, wide comfy chairs, the foot stools go up and you can choose to purchase food and it gets delivered during the movie) deal, we asked about it and it seemed likely that we'd get in. So we went a few shops away and redeemed my free San Churro's dessert meal (six churros -spanish doughnuts, with two pots of melted chocolate to dip into)! Yum. We were now definitely on the full side but the Gold Class movie deal we we're getting basically included free food & drink so we ordered and asked for it to the end of the movie. We saw The Great Gatsby. It was my first ever time in Gold Class. Funny thing that happened during the day, my friend received two calls when I was there one a job interview, the other a job offer! Wow, talk about lucky charms. ;) All in all a great day.
Sat 8th- Was meant to meet my friend Chloe (yes same one as before) for lunch at a new restaurant by George Calombaris at 12.30 but we were both running late so we met somewhere between 1.30-2 in the city.
I got my free drink I had won via twitter for guessing a picture of a dessert, and my friend loved the gin & tonic we had, she thought it was the best ever. I can't say I've drunk them much but I liked it. And yes the tonic water was so sweet and interesting to try my itself -our waiter told us its the best type out there. :P We had some dips to share, yummy and so filling. Then each had a souvlaki (I had soft shell crab, without coriander) amazing. We then dallied over deciding on dessert as we knew we had time to kill until my reservation at a bar later that night where more friends were going to join us, but in the end we shared the meringue. And because Chloe had told the waiter it was my birthday lunch, he had obviously mentioned it to the prep team and they had put 'happy birthday' in chocolate sauce on the plate and also added two bubblegum macarons with a sugared rose petal as a bonus! Yum. We then made our way to the Crown Casino complex, I mentioned I'd never gone inside the 'real' casino bit in these years so we went and walked through the casino level. Pretty much what I expected. We sat at on of the quieter bars for a bit and listened to the music playing on the tv there and let our stomachs settle we each had a mocktail. We then decided to make our way to the bar early, on the way there my other friend canceled on me because she had a relative go to hospital and wanted to visit. A friend had also canceled the previous night, so the three extra seats I had booked weren't needed, but Chloe had invited her boyfriend so we waited for him, whilst going through a huge cocktail book menu. A friend I had planned to meet earlier in the day to get free tickets to an event off also had to cancel because her roommate was taken to hospital -I didn't feel very lucky to be around that day, lol. We had a drink there each, when my friend's boyfriend came we ordered small hotdogs and they got a prawn popcorn dish too. I tried both in the end yummy. We paid and went to check out the bar downstairs it was quiet no one else but us, hee. We ordered some interesting cocktails (different quirky menu to upstairs), I had this chocolate whiskey with wattle seed smoke thing that poured out of a jar. A small group of girls came in a bit later and they were having the matched menu thing we listened to bits of it as the bartender explained the theories. Chloe ended up ordering one more drink a butter popcorn thing -can you sense the theme we like? I tried it it was interesting. We then went to check out another bar but it was pretty packed so we slowly made our way to where her bf had parked got pies on the way. Relatively early night was home by 10.30? So wasn't as long as I expected nor who I expected to see but fun nonetheless.
Tues 11th- I saw the musical Legally Blonde performed. Professional actors, my friend D had free tickets (I consider this her birthday gift to me ;P )It was fun and very much happy like the movie. Another mutual friend's mum came with us, and a different friend.
Wed 12th- D and I saw Kristin Chenoweth perform at Hamer Hall! (Some of you may know her as April from Glee) Fun times. She's cute and funny. And wow, she sure can reach some of those notes!
Sat 15th- Was a day set aside for some of those who weren't going to be able to make it the previous Saturday -being the Queen's birthday weekend. I had wanted to go to Max Brenner's so we went there, and D and S happened to get on the same train as me. D hadn't told me she was coming so it was a bonus surprise! We got there and slowly increased our table room as people arrived taking a chair from nearby. :P Tilly and her new boyfriend I had never met before turned up and she gave me a present a gift voucher to Critical Hit a geeky type of store. Jen arrived a bit later, then Thuan and last but not Cameron after he got a little lost. xD
It was fun, though I was tired from bad cramps the night before so I may have been a little out of it. I got a banana waffle sundae and white chocolate chai. Some people left and then it was just six of us eight we walked across town to the too busy bar from the previous week and at this time it was quiet so we managed to grab a spot. We warmed up for a bit there one drink and then split again with four of us going home. Nice day out. :)
Sunday 16th I worked :P
