TV fandom friend anyone??
I've realised fandom thoughts and things has taken over a large part of my life.
Both good and bad, as is obvious. Went to the dentist today (no yesterday I suppose) and after a while I tried to think of things that would take my mind off the pain and uncomfortableness. No, nothing graphic nor romantic situation between pairings happened. Unfortunately? ;)
And no characters I admire for their courage/bravery came into play. No Gibbs, unbreakable Ziva, Mac Taylor or Booth's in any torture scenes. The most logical and obvious connection for me was Kate (yes i'm spelling it that way even though it should be Cate). Kate Todd coming back from her dentist after a root canal. And no I was not having that done. I knew I was thinking she had something done 10x more painful than this but she came out okay glaring at Tony in the end. So if she can put up with that no matter how worried she was before hand I can last a little longer! :) I think I am beginning to get a worse and lower pain tolerance. Strange.
Then I got a haircut too! Have been needing one for months and months wanting one for weeks and weeks. It's so good to not have hair catching on things. ^_^
Last night I saw a banner with Samantha Spade and Jack Malone and it was so perfect for me that I didn't know why I had stopped watching Without a Trace after it started airing this month and I missed the second ep? I've recorded a few of the later ones but I still hadn't watched the 2 or 3 so I really had the urge to do so. And it got me wanting a perfect and highly smutty Sam/Jack fic! I've never read a Without a Trace fanfiction so this could be bad, another 10hours a week searching through everywhere imaginable. >_< What i looked for quickly last night really didn't capture the characters at all. At ALL. I didn't think it would have been so hard. They don't have to write true blue case/show fic, just the smut. But none of the ones I found really got anywhere which is a pity because it left me with a gaping whole which needs filling. :(
I really don't want to be tempted to try and write them to fill that space myself but nothing was good enough. Not that i'm saying I could do better I probably am as hopeless if not down right pathetic at getting them. I'll search on lj for WaT later. *fingers crossed* I find a good writer!
One reason I didn't want to begin writing more stories is that I have hardly finished any of my many others. And apart from maybe 1 of them I really want to finish and post them aaall! I want to get stuck into csi:ny fics but my friend who said she'd look at them has been super busy. So I joined csi_ny_fic community and posted asking for people to help bounce ideas or read through what i've done. Had 3 replies. After emailing off some of fic:
1. Said would read that night/tomorrow, and reply (no time specified)
2. Said would take a few days because of her work getting in the way.
3. Said email wouldn't open fic. And tried another email and wouldn't work still.
I know people are busy. But they needn't have replied if they were really busy. I'm not sure even if 1 has access to the work they haven't replied to say anything after that at all. *sigh* I would love to find some fandom matching lj-er to squee fandom with. Doesn't have to be CSI:NY anything else probably. I just finished excitement over Vampire Academy and Richelle Meads other books not that I will stop but I want to find someone from a more obscure fandom or something. And making it harder are people who will only squee pairings and if you don't like their chosen pairing they don't want to talk to you. Seriously. Can't we just talk about the love of the show?? Anyone?
