Glee 3x01 - 3x06
So the last time I really posted discussing (or squeeing) about episodes of Glee was... June last year! Almost a year ago. Wow.
Then I did random 'non' spoilery vague squees or not squees depending on my opinions after that. But this is from my notes doc. file again. Have notes from this year too, but I don't think its as much as it hasn't really been good..
3.1 The Purple Piano Project
Ah, Quinn certainly seems different yes? So gorgeous though.
LOL at the start and how it ‘cleared’ everything up about who’s leaving at the end and who’s not.
Whoa, Lindsay has her guest role already!?
And haha at Coach roughing Sue up…
Also, I almost didn’t notice, Rachel’s long skirt. O_o
3.2 I Am Unicorn
Ugh. This is what I knew was going to happen eventually and didn’t want. Shelby back…
But that scene with Will! Fic based around Will/Rachel like now please. Not instant gratification fic though like a lot out there, I’d love to see an AU fic based around these first two eps that has the canon Will/Emma then -> Will/Rachel.
Yeah, not really feeling it Blaine but whatever knew it had to happen.
3.3 Asian F
Aw, Mike got so much more screen time! And lines! There was actually a lot going on in this episode huh?
I feel for Mercedes but she hardly listened to the fact that Mr. Shue had been wanting to push her just to do her best (even if he does not push Rachel anymore) or listen to the others. And yes the way they did it I felt that Mercedes was better than Rachel, and her first audition song did kind of do something different it wasn’t just those ‘large diva notes’.
I think I felt sorry or just felt the most for Kurt, Mike, Rachel and Emma this episode and all of them apart from Mike I think increased my empathy towards them more than ever. Mike’s pushy parents were canon already in my head.
The Dream Girls sequence, lol. Everyone but Rachel singing which was nice. Though I loved Mike and Kurt in that, Quinn should have gotten a line somehow, though I know we’ll be getting a lot more of her again soon.
Wouldn’t it be great to have Victor Garber back? Sorry, I just saw an episode of Law & Order: LA after this with him in it, and it was funny because when I switched channel after Glee it had already started and the first thing I saw was Mike’s mother as the M.E! :P
Anyway, back to Glee, that end Rachel scene tore me up a little. It’s not that I thought it unfair for Finn not to know who to vote for it was more that she seemed like she had lost her place in the school, and it looks like that’ll continue with Mercedes defecting to the other Glee club.
Haha, two Schue songs (almost) right near the end. And…I was actually kind of digging the Emma/Will vibes again. Wow, what’s that all about brain? Imagine having parents like Emma’s though…kind of making her who she is.
Coach definitely has a lot on her plate. And we got one Sue moment where she tries to take control in the gym -how’s that working out for ya Sue? Haha.
And I can’t forget the whole massive Rachel & Will talking to each other scene with Mercedes singing around them. Of course not, I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t point that out, right? *added a few days after watching* Oh, I missed those two short scenes at the start, I now felt a little more for Mercedes and understand why Will was pushing to meet Emma’s parents.
3.4 Pot O’Gold
YAY Damian! And wow he got a lot of screen time this episode!
Okay, the scenes or moments I loved? Burt/Sue scenes, Will & Finn sitting together watching the Troubelettes(?) edit: Troubletones, Brittany/Rory, Kurt seeing Rory sing, and yes the final Shelby/Puck moment… Please don’t hate me (plus I expected it since she first came back and they had their first scene this season together it was done rather nicely I thought, especially how they reminded viewers that he’s had that experience and did/does do those kind of things with older women -just perhaps not as much lately).
And I think it was easier on my nerves without Emma being present and the mention of Bieste was nice.
3.5 The First Time
I like how they incorporated the ‘first time’ thing though, however much I might dislike them bringing that up again.
Warblers song! (LOL, first teacher at that school?)
Santana song! Ah, Blaine/other Warbler guy? I’d kind of dig it more, if he didn’t have that edge or trying a bit hard that guy. Ah, Sebastien. That’s his name, Paris and a dirty cheater? Hm.
Aw, Mike!moment? *tear*
Dave! Oh, he looks better. Sounds better too. Yay, Kurt got up to dance. :P
Aw, Bieste.
Ahah, piano Brad in the background?
Another Santana sings moment!
Ah, Mike! I was wondering if he was still in it! (Because I’ve not seen West Side so I don’t know where characters are meant to be).
3.6 Mash Off
Ooh, nice songs. Kind of nice story line at least better than last episodes…
Hm, Rachel spoke up first about the ‘issue’ of Puck’s song…and she was wearing a yellow dress and then they switched to Emma wearing a yellow nightie/dress when talking to Will… I wonder if that was a specific thing, usually they are, these details don’t go unnoticed (as per first time thing when both Rachel & Emma were wearing purple nighties... foreshadowing? Or do they just like making obvious statement like 'these two are doing the same kind of thing'.). Fic using those components? And not that I forgot but Rachel & Kurt moments and Rachel & Will <3
