Wishlist 2011
Make a post (public, friends locked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for __ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
* If you wish for real life things (not stories or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
* Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ so that the holiday joy will spread.
*Surf around your friends list (or friends’ friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list.
And now here's the important part:
*If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use-or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free-do it.
* You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out; it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf-to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not-it's your call.
*There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish and it might come true. Give and you ight
receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

I barely changed my wish list from last year, just a few slight modifications really. Posted to wish_list
Again I’m not asking for anything really big (in terms of physical items) this year, well, except for the impossible one that is obligatory to be there. Mostly though, I just hope this Christmas and New Years are a lot better than last years with no more losses.
1. If you liked one of my fics (ncis, moonlight, csi:ny, csi:miami, crossovers[Castle/NCIS] [Doctor Who/Rizzoli & Isles], Life, Trauma, Glee, Firefly), but didn't have the time or mental energy to comment, comments/recs are always be appreciated!
2. Christmas pictures! I love seeing how people decorate for the holidays. So if you snapped any pictures of your Christmas tree, lights. If you were in town and it looked really nice or interesting. It doesn’t have to be ‘Christmas’ you might not celebrate it, it can be your area where you spend your holidays, even if it’s in a small room on a ship etc. You can feel free to embed some pics (keep them smaller-medium though) in a comment below or link me to your posts.
3. For people to spread goodwill throughout their fandoms whenever possible, and try to remember when you're dealing with someone who is being ridiculous- that day when you were a heinous bitch (lol, I’m sure you’ve not been one though) to people online because something was hurting you in real life. Or you know, just ignore the troll!
4. If you don't normally comment on fics or icons around your fandom, go out of your way this year to comment a little more. Feeding the artists helps keep a fandom going. :)
5. LJ tokens since I just got 2 months paid account which runs out (Jan 16 next year), asking for more time could be too much. Maybe some LJ tokens and I can either buy extra icon spaces or something amazing (like renewing my account when it gets there).
6. I'd love for some icons made for me: icons in my fandoms or pairings. Or any of the ones I’m specifically looking out for here on my profile . (The box that says ‘attention talented icon makers’!)
7. A piece of fanfiction. My fandoms are here, but I’d really love it if there was anyone out there familiar enough with my rarer fandoms or pairings (note pairings list is not updated with my newer fandoms) and wrote something from those. I have a list of those rarer ones over here.
You can PM or comment below for clarification or if you need ideas. I prefer relationship based fic (I have het, slash and femslash pairings), but wouldn’t go passed gen, or funny crack fic. Any fic really! Especially if it was for one of my rarer fandoms or pairings. Any ratings gen or smut.
And really I’m not asking for huge 80k+ word fics. (though that would be an amazing surprise! *laughs disbelievingly at the idea*), drabbles under 1,000 words are awesome!
8. Big random wish the kind that's impossible usually, because what's a list without it, umm. Some kind of job (that an entry level type person could do but suitable for a media uni student) in the media industry in Australia in Melbourne, maybe at channel Seven or Ten -or radio I’m not fussy. That was last year, this year I’m still just looking for part-time work.
9. It’s a big ask, but a new customized LJ layout for me. I like this one, but recently the posting area is a bit too small for my liking… I’m in need of a new overhaul and a fandom design header would be cool. But yes, not expecting this one much.
10. For others to feel better, if you have something spare you could donate- a new toy to one of those department stores that do Christmas trees and gifts for children who don’t get any or teens because they need love too.
