"You read my book?" "Twice."
I updated my consumption list aka my what I've read & watched this year list this week. Over here or just at the top of my journal. So its a lot longer than before since I neglected updating it the past 2 months! But it pretty much shows where I am up to in all of my shows and a few that I've tried out but not gotten any farther with.
And since I don't have much to say today, I'll just put a few random tv notes down.
See the cut for where spoilers may apply for and under each link the episodes are marked so you can glance at specific ones or not. BUT I kind of got lazy with making some of them done nicely so just beware that if you click the link you could be spoiled for eps in that season...
Grey’s Anatomy:
7x18 -the musical episode
Interesting especially how they would have filmed and choregraphed the first ER scene…it looked complicated and singing with the talking etc. It was an okay episode I guess, not that I’ve really seen it regularly in so long! I liked Callie’s singing, and sister of Meredith -oh Izzy?’s singing. The red haired Owen dude has a nice deep voice but I don’t think he could get the right sound for it, and maybe Sloan (is that Steamy’s name?) was okay the tiny bit he did, and Arizona average but I guess they had to have her singing otherwise it would have been a little plot less, to tie the singing in.
Rizzoli & Isles:
1x3 Sympathy for the Devil
Aw, I do like Wahlberg’s character and Rizzoli together, cute.
1x6 I Kissed a Girl
Aw, cute ep. Well I mean the relationship between Maura & Isles.
1x8 I’m Your Boogie Man
Scottie! And she gets to play a different character! ;)
1x9 The Beast in Me
Ah, Maura is related to Irish mob? Of course. It was Korsak that rang her biological father wasn’t it?
1x10 When the Gun Goes Bang Bang
NO not Frankie! And you knew that she’d get shot through herself right? Reminded me of Lee’s death in NCIS. Poor Bass. Also poor Maura having to worry about killing/not killing Frankie. Triple whammy for the parents when the find out their other two 'good' kids are both in critical condition...

(Jack Black! Heh. *laughs for a while at Jeff being kicked in the face* I hardly laugh at physical comedy that hurts people, but seriously? This has been the only thing that has made me laugh in Community for longer than a moment other than Batman!Abed. *laughs* “I get them when my nose gets dry and my face gets kicked.” *snort* Ooh Owen Wilson? Haha.)

(Wow Abed *is* a God. LOL, I try to play pool/billiards so this scene with them playing off in shorts is amazing. O_O Undies pool?? *Just a few minutes of silent laughter from myself when they ‘tear’ of their pants…naked!pool!* Look at Britta’s mixed expression and Annie’s fixated one. Haha. And more looks of trying not to look when Jeff bends… heh. I was wondering what was up with that girl from pool. Whoa Abed!Bert and Troy!Ernie?? And then the end is not exactly good for what happened today. *sigh* I went to watch this show for laughs but I turned out the same…)

LOL at Annie hurting Jeff for doing a ‘your mama’ joke on Shirley! Aw, Britta doesn’t want to see Jeff in pain. Heh. Anti-Winger? Aw. And Jeff & Abed are the only ones not crying. :P)

-Tyler! I admit that a lot of this episode was made better for me because of the actor who plays Tyler from Trauma was in it and it was messing with my mind because he’s an EMT/Paramedic and in this he was killing the people! Also, Emily, Gillian, Loker are all still cute and adorable.
3x12 Gone
-Cute Emily scenes, sad that there was hardly any Gil/Cal…
3x13 Killer App
-Ah, the guy Torres ‘saved’ aka the guy from The Assistants was back! Yay. Also, wow, impressive opening with Gillian traumatized and Cal thinking his daughter was having sex. Aw, cute ending again with Emily & Cal. Yikes, I guess that’s a good way to end the series ‘admit the feelings’ thing.
~Also did nobody enjoy Covert Affairs season 2? Because I only saw probably one person excited for it and nobody on my friends list posted discussions or anything post airings. We are currently getting season 2 here (last saw 2x06), and its going alright. Auggie <3

~BUT-but-but... I DO want to add something else about Off the Map. Watched ep 3 today. Nothing too flash or not, apart from the Mina & Otis, the Otis & Keeton, Charlie & Brenner, Tommy & Ryan, Ryan & Brenner interactions. Oh. And of course Aimee Garcia! 'Hola!'. xD (Okay well that's kind of the whole episode but, I guess what I meant to say was the medical stuff seemed background to me.) Anyway, what I wanted to say was that compared to Greys Anatomy & Private Practice, Off the Map is more of a NCIS or House. The wise-cracks and fun the cast seem to pull off without ruining it. So yes, its for NCIS and maybe even Bones type of watchers. Guess I'm saying is that it leans a little to the dramedy side of things?
PS. I need an Off the Map icon like something fierce I tell you.
