"Time to confess..."

May 27, 2011 16:16

Before I do this meme (taken from banana7pancakes  & extraordinary ), I forgot to say last night that on the way home yesterday I sat next to a guy who looked like a skinny/older version of Rodger Federer! Seriously, I tried to discreetly look at him when I looked out the window, but…yeah.

Where were you at 2:02 AM this morning?
At the computer, talking to x_nothing_here  on LJ and watching ( Read more... )

lj friends, roger federer, musicals, flist: question time, oprah (also ms winfrey), meme

I doubt I’d go as a nun, but any other suggestions are more than welcomed!

Shoot! You got me...my first thought was Sound of Music, but okay, nuns are off the list... *pout*

You could cut up curtains and make a dress? :P IDK, SoM's the only musical I know...there's Mary Poppins, but I don't think that outfit would be easy to procure, let alone the parrot-headed umbrella and bottomless bag (which Hermione totally pinched!) so maybe not.

Something sexy and scandalous- Moulin Rouge? :P

IDK, I AM TERRIBLE AT THIS, OKAY?

Thanks! :)

Who knows, I might just go as something from The Sound of Music...the friend who's 21st it is she was in a Sound of Music production earlier this year, so she might just be going as whatever she was (a nun i think) then if she has the costume...

I could always do Spiderman now! ;)

OMG, your friend is so cool! :D I wish I could be in Sound of Music...or actually, any play. *sigh* I want to act, damn it. I wish I'd started doing production earlier when I was at high school. *sniffle*

LOL, I forgot that got turned into a play. I can't even imagine how they pulled that off. O.o

She was only in cast not a lead, but yes she caught the amateur acting bug a little. I wish I was doing more acting (I did all the plays/musicals in school)

Heh. I think it got criticised but then they 'improved' it? And it went for a while (it might still be going?) and people kept buying tickets for the lulz I imagine.

I haven't seen it but the Spidey actor guy got almost badly hurt the other week there's a video out there on Youtube.

Hmm... Grease costumes can be fairly easily op-shopped. High-waisted pants, fitted shirts, pencil or full-circle skirts. Proper Pink Ladies jackets are quite expensive, but you could probably just get a generic pink jacket and it would give the right idea. And pigtails! Obviously, thsi is what comes to mind first because I was in it and we were pretty much in charge of organising as much of our own costumes as possible. I'll get back to you if I have any other ideas.

Thanks for the input, yes, Grease would be on your mind more readily. ;)

Might snag this survey later, it's really interesting :)

Have you already heard that Chris will leave SVU? It's not officially confirmed yet, but it's all over the internet already... if you want I can send you the link to the website...

At the computer, talking to [info]x_nothing_here on LJ and watching ‘A Quiet Word’ with Catherine Tate.

Doubtful in the way that you’re implying meme.
I can honestly say that I like you, like that LOL. *squishes*

What do you like on your toast?
Nutella. Vegemite & Butter, jam, cream cheese.

I really hope that's not all at the same time.

What day of the week did/will your birthday fall on this year?
Saturday, next week.

I have an epic spam post of love in the making :D.

Random, but at high school camp, when we had to make lunch for everyone, our teacher grossed us out by asking for peanut butter, vegemite and beetroot all in one sandwich. O.o IDEK! We watched in horrified fascination as she ate it happily. Just...*shudder*

Of course, we started daring each other to eat a similar sandwich but nobody could go through with it.

In my circle of online friends, dressing up as Enjolras (see icon) from Les Misérables is a popular choice for Halloween. It's basically generic male period costume and a red vest with gold trim (people tend to have to make that for themselves, so not all that easy). Éponine is somewhat simpler, if you have a darkish brown trench coat and a hat at hand.

Roxie/Velma from Chicago? Other than these, I can't think of any costumes not already mentioned that would be easily recognisable, even at a party where the theme is musicals.

Hm, interesting, thank you for telling me that. :)

Ah yes, Chicago.
