More Diana, some charity and dvds, and Weatherly

~I'm trying hard to ignore my notifications and comments on my last entry. I was already getting sidetracked and not being able to finish reading my flist... *facepalms* But now I am scared to look...I heard on her post the x_nothing_here  now knows how to post gifs. in comments. Yes. Gifs (the moving pictures) in comments. I am scared.

~Just watched 'One Last Score' Michael Weatherly's directorial de-butt (only those who watched Jessica Mauboy on NYE telecast should get that.) I liked it, not incredibly awesome but not horrible. I loved the non-NCIS cut-switch between the 'giving Abby evidence' scene and Gibbs interrogation. I hope that was MW wanting to be different and not already a script edit. The shots in the morgue and Abby's lab were a little different too. But I'd love to read a script to see what Michael added/changed indirectly or directly.

Any non-Gibbs/DiNozzo NCIS viewers see that ep? What did you think of it?
I think most Gibbs/DiNozzo fandom thought it was good. (You guys are obviously welcome to comment here with your thoughts on it too, since I haven't been able to really look at your notes in case of spoilers!)

~ Lindsey Leavitt a childrens/young teens author (lindsey_leavitt ) is doing her own version of a fun-run-walk for MS this month. Because she's going to miss the official one, for every comment she receives on this blog entry she will donate a dollar (up to 150) so spread the word and leave a comment over there! Please, Multiple Scleroris (she has a character in her book SEAN GRISWOLD'S HEAD that has MS) affects a lot of people (I know there are many many more diseases out there) there are more facts on her entry. [Edit: I forgot to say that commenting puts you into a draw to win her book Sean Griswold's Head also!! Internationally open too. ]

~And at (12.04am) after starting this post over 15 minutes ago, and having this certain link open before I even had dinner at 6.30pm, I have finally started and finished reading such a fascinating biography/obituary for, yes, Diana Wynne Jones. If its true, which I expect it is. It is truly fascinating (yes, I know I'm repeating myself) and often shocking. I don't have time to read up on the lives of every author I have read so even though most of it was to be expected looking back now, it surprised me a little. She had such a vast life in the literary and even general areas. Being lectured by Tolkien and Lewis and then criticising them...I have chills. I really need to go read her other books, I'm sure book sales of hers are having a spike now. I haven't read Dogsbody (one of her most popular ones) and  some of her other stand-alones.

~Okay, last thing (hopefully?). If anyone NCIS or CBS inclined is still reading this. Or even general DVD purchasers! Do you guys have any reliable sites that tell or announce TV DVD release dates?? Because I found out today that JAG's final (tenth) season was released on DVD in the US early last year. And it will be released in region 2 in June! But I want to know about region 4!! Not that I have any JAG seasons on DVD yet, but a box-set or something would be awesome. Released by Paramount/CBS DVD? And for that matter are there any good sites for other US network shows that have a news feed of TV shows being released to DVD? Any help would be appreciated. :)

~I was about to say I'll now brave my notifications and last entry...but. I just glanced at my inbox... there are now FIFTY messages! YIKES. The day I'm not ready for anyone to comment I get a land-mine! When I pine for interaction there's nada. Is there a term to describe that? Other than kind of paradoxical? I almost said Murphy's Law but I know what that is and nothing is actually going 'wrong' here its more opposites of expectations... anyway. I shall stop rambling so you can try to digest this brilliant *cough* post of mine. Whilst I hide behind a strong pile of fics and ignore things. ;D

PS. Did anyone see that Adam Rodriguez is guesting a spot on Sesame Street!? They had a CSI: Sesame Street sign. So cute. (In a weird contradictory way?) But yes, can't wait! (Funny that the two actors here both have directed eps on the show they star in)
