So the 30 day female meme won by one vote! You don't make it easy now do you? (And yes, I would have said that no matter which had been picked...I can't choose!)
I know I'll mention at least half of them more than once in the meme but oh well, here we go.
Day one- Favourite lead female character
DCI Janine Lewis -Blue Murder (UK not the other show, Caroline Quentin)
EDIT: Whoops. Forgot to say why. I'm really distracted.
Janine is awesome because she's not only a woman in power (yes, that's her team behind her) but had a somewhat successful private life as well. Though there are problems like a lot of families and she does divorce (separate?) in the end, its not as 'brushed' over as so many American counter-parts. Usually they use it as a few episode 'backstory' meeting the ex or troubles of the 'past'. Here its balanced out over the episodes right from the start. And in the last season when it all gets too much for her and you see her finally break. It's all the more powerful. Just a shame that ITV didn't want to give it one more season to put her together and see how she handles herself. And yes, she's a good cop.
