Occasionally my brother says things that are fairly interesting. Today was his assessment of grapes and grape products: he likes fresh grapes, he likes cognac (and I guess brandy too, but mostly cognac). Anything in between (grape juice, raisins, wine) he's just not a big fan of: it's the extremes or nothing.
Me, I like grapes. I like grape juice sometimes, and I only like raisins in special situations (Cadbury Fruit and Nut, mostly). I like wine all the time, but I only like cognac in sidecars.
Work was really, really busy today. Like, the managers and I both didn't realize what time it was until it was 40 minutes after I was supposed to go and we didn't get my till fully pulled and counted down until almost an hour after the scheduled end of my shift. People want their new televisions!
Also none of us remembered that my dry cleaning was ready to be picked up. Oops. And the cleaner is closed Sundays, so I have to wait until Monday. Luckily I was planning to go over to that part of town after work to begin with (I need to turn in my timecard for LPRD and turn in my library books) so it's not a big deal, but I would have liked to have my dry cleaning back now.
But! I bought a purple soft wool dress, no sleeves but very, very long, that I can wear to church tomorrow. I won't freeze and I'll be very Advent-y.
(You know how there's Christmas and Easter folks? We're so way cooler- we do Advent and Lent too!)
I'm finally growing my fingernails out like a grown-up person. I am hoping that someone will decide to give me a gift certificate to a manicure place for Christmas.
Oh, crap, I'm supposed to write a codified Xmas List by now, aren't I? And... um... actually do my Christmas shopping. In my defense, I actually do HAVE to leave a lot of it to last minute, since I have to do my monthly student loan payment with this paycheck and then more presents with the next.
