Yay!
I have my computer back! And what happened? Microsoft crashed Windows :D
Actually there was an anti-virus program snuck into the updates I downloaded the night before the crash, and it clashed hard with Avast. So no reformat or anything needed, woo! I just paid to have Avast uninstalled *facepalm* Well, how was I supposed to know?
My friend helped carry the computer back and then stuck around, thankfully, because at first we couldn't get the screen to work (the contact the cable was supposed to go in was hidden beneath the other contacts and sunken in so it was difficult to see from where we were looking) so I almost burst a vessel. He finally spotted it though while I laid down for a while. I just had a couple of weeks off but then I started a new job with a packed first day on Monday, and I've got a cold. And I've got work-homework to do in the next couple of days but I think that right now, I'm going to enjoy having my baby back.
Also I watched some of Ghost Rider on TV (those who know me will know how crazy that is but hey, my baby-laptop is too small to sit and do much on even if it's neat) and holy hell was that cheesy.
