it's little victories like the one tonight that make me smile. in fact, it was only one of numerous successful confrontations today.
The first:
A 55 year old lady and i almost collided as i was walking from the street to my store to unlock the door, but it wasn't that close. she looks at me with the most inconvenienced and entitled look and says "Was that really necessary? Jerk." What immediately went through my head was, yeah it was. What immediately came out of my mouth was, "You know what? go fuck yourself."
The last:
2 fratboys and one of their girlfriends in a car. One guy starts yelling "I'm a biker, i'm a biker, look at my ass." So I stop at the light, pull out my lock and yell back "i'm a driver, i'm a driver and i'm about to not have a fucking windshield." Then i waved my u-lock so they can see it and when they're driving by the girl says "guys, shut up" and they all look scared. I yell "go ahead..." They peel out and proceed to go 50mph down walnut weaving in and out of traffic. obviously scared. i guarantee they don't fuck with bike kids again.
i have a doctors appointment in 2 weeks to try and get rid of these headaches.
