(no subject)
So the last time I posted was April 22. Holy cow. A lot has happened since then. I am much happier.
-I declared a lab (my third rotation). Not only am I making tremendous discoveries- I will probably get published soon, but I'm also mentoring a summer undergraduate student. I feel smart. Lol.
-Gabe and I are moving into a studio aparmtent in Einstein housing in 1-2 weeks (I find out tomorrow). It's the 27th floor (highest floor you can get) and we'll be paying under $300 rent each. In New York fucking City.
-I think my dad and I finally came to terms with each other.
That's some major life stuff. Also, I took two weeks off in May. I saw Gabe graduate at RPI. We ended up getting stuck in Albany for a week because Gabe's grandma got sick, but she is all better now. It kind of hampered the road trip we were planning on taking, but it's ok. I spent a lot of time in Pittsburgh. I really like it there. Honestly, I wouldn't mind living there in the future. Although I really don't want to ever have to drive.
I need to spend more time with my friends. I'm in such an inconvenient location. It's such a hassle to get into the city, and during the week I just don't feel up to it after working all day. I barely spend enough time with my friends at Einstein. Hopefully once we move into the new apartment things will change for the better.
