Shiny Happy People

Dec 31, 2006 19:06

I haven't posted in forever. Here's the obligatory end of the year post, full of awards and best of lists. I "sampled" the list headings from others so thanks to them for inspiring me to make this list where I can be a bit self absorbed.

DRINKING BUDDY OF THE YEAR
Dustin and Kevy bear. Countless others I could include as well but Kevy bear on the basis of frequency and Dustin on the basis of time (generally Thursday nights at like 2 am after finishing hoot layout)

NEWCOMER AWARD - BEST NEW FRIEND
Just a number of people, Ben Doug something, Kabir, Kleinstein, Lehrfeld, Vinny.

HIGH POINT OF THE YEAR?
debauchery on an empty campus and watching Apocalypse Now and smoking indian cigarettes at the end of last year with Dustin, going to Siren music festival in new york, camping trip.

LOW POINT OF THE YEAR?
Just all the stupid and ridiculous drama. seeing my twins get swept.

BEST HOLIDAY?
I would have to say last february break as a whole for crazyness, or july 4th for relaxation.

ANTHEM FOR 2006?
"Roll With It" Oasis... Just a keep on trucking, take your time, say what you say don't let anybody get in your way type attitude that seems to be my mantra these days. honorable mention: ridin' dirty.

BEST MEMORY?
siren festival

ANY REGRETS?
not doing things sooner, being more assertive about stuff right off the bat, wasting time worrying about stupid things

BEST NIGHT OUT?
seeing muse was pretty awesome, getting lost in harlem, the various get togethers had

WORST NIGHT OUT?
eh the walk to brandeis after a small altercation

BEST DECISION MADE THIS YEAR?
to stay in boston over the summer, getting involved in wbrs e-board (even if it is kind of boring at times).

WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR NEXT YEAR?
improve the newspaper as co-eic and work hard to learn as best i can, hopefully get a paid internship in the big apple, boston or minneapolis for next summer in some sort of communications area or music industry. possibly do birth right next winter.

TWAT OF THE YEAR?
eh, i'd say hammertime and possibly kevin federline.

WORST TREND?
those annoying pop punk groups, see Panic!, my chemical romance, fall out boy

MOST LOYAL FRIEND?
Kenny, Kevy bear, Dustin

BIGGEST CHANGE OF THE YEAR?
slowly learning to cook and live off campus, being a bit more outgoing, doing things i normally wouldn't (the mfa, camping trip, commute to nyc 3 times and back alone, etc), level of commitment to clubs

alright now my own section, this part about the entertainment biz...
