It's hot today, but Seattle standards anyway. 87 degrees. My poor doggies want to go out and play, but they get tired pretty quickly and come back in panting. My friend and mechanic Bob told me his dog really enjoys it when he puts ice in the pup's water, so I decided to do that for Jack and Crystal.
They looked at me with stricken expressions, as if to say "How could you contaminate our water with that--that STUFF?" I gave them each an ice cube to eat, and they enjoyed that. They still wouldn't drink much water until the ice melted, though.
I saw a guy sitting outside a Starbucks yesterday. He was drinking an iced tea and he had a ginormous pibble panting next to him. He finished his drink, and the cup was still half full of ice, so he took off the lid and held it down for the dog. Dog stuck his ginormous pibble nose in the cup and started deftly slurping up ice with his tongue. KYOOT!
