...barely...survived...birthday...party...
It was only a few hours, but a houseful of screaming second graders seems like an eternity in a lower circle of Hell. OKAY it wasn't that bad. Orion's friends are a nice bunch of kids. But the noise! THE NOISE!
O's chosen party theme was "under the sea," so we had cool ocean-related decor going on. I made some seriously cool helium-balloon-and-ribbon jellyfish. They looked awesome floating around the living room, unti the little boys grabbed them by the tentacles and beat each other over the head with them. That was pretty darn amusing
It's truly amazing how much pizza a pack of 8 and 9-year-olds can wolf down.
But we survived it. Now I need rum. Lots and lots of rum.
