Do half the ads on TV have some form of repulsive emo-folk saccharine crapmusic as their soundtracks at the moment? It's either some light-voiced girlie singing about her soul or love or angels, or some light-voiced dude singing about how he feels like a little boy because his girl is an angel, or some other variety of evil shit.
Years and years ago when Nike used the Beatles song "Revolution" in their ads, I thought I was going to barf for distance. The horror! Selling shoes with Revolution! But I tell you what, I'd WAY rather listen to sold-out good bands than the current crop of tinkly-voiced girly-boys and girlie-girls. Just hearing that stuff brings out my inner schoolyard bully. I want to POUND whoever is making that noise. It makes my ears bleed.
Twentysomethings! Why the hell are you listening to the equivalent of first-run elevator music? Why are you MAKING IT?
WHY???
sorry.
NO! NO I'M NOT!!!
