Año Nuevo!!!
Just when I start thinking that it's not possible to like Panama any more, something awesome happens and I fall in love with this country all over again. So anyways, Christmas was the most boring holiday I have ever had...but New Years...holy shit. So last night started off PH...one of the best discotecas in the country. First, at about 11 at night, Javier came from Mariabe. Then at about 12:30 am, we went and watched the reinas of Calle Arribe and Calle Abajo in the park...we could barely walk because there were so many people...and fireworks...and...just really cool stuff. Then we all went to PH, and danced all night, and everyone was drinking, and...I dunno. It was just really cool to be able to hang out all night with Javier, Phastor, Juan Carlos, Amparo...and everyone else, dancing tipico, salsa, rumba, merengue...I slept the entire day today because we didn't leave the discoteca until 7 in the morning.
So for Christmas, my brother told me on the phone that he asked his girlfriend to marry him! Wow...Gabe is engaged. Then after I talked to him, I was talking to my dad, and just jokingly I asked him what he would do and how he would react if I came back engaged. He didn't answer me, and then we hung up after a little more talking. Anyways, the real point of this story is that the next day, my dad sent me an email telling me that if I got engaged, he wouldn't do anything, and he'd support me because I'm the only one who knows what's in my heart, etc. Wow. I wasn't expecting that answer, but it really makes me think.
So there are two more nights of PH...I'm heading there in a while to exhaust myself and dance the entire night until it turns light, no doubt drinking a shit load of beer and seco. Happy New Year!
