Love's a trainwreck

Well, I did it. I got an email a few days ago, notifying me that I was accepted into the Film program. It's such a relief. I got pretty nervous when I heard how few of the applicants they were accepting. But I'm in. And I'm way pumped to start classes. I'm still going to try for the Visual Arts Minor. This way, I can take some graphics and photography classes. Nice.

I'm back from Seattle. Yeah- I went for the weekend in between semester breaks. It was a short stay, and I mostly went to Mariner's games (3 games in 5 days). I just needed to stock up for a few months, as the only baseball I'll get around here is from the BYU team. That's alright, but nothing like a night in Safeco. Anyway, I was suddenly hit with an extreme sense of sadness as we were walking through SeaTac airport- I felt I hardly had the chance to soak up Washington. Utah made me a dry sponge. That isn't necessarily a bad thing. Washington is just where I belong. But I'm at the point in my life where I'm just torn between two homes.

So yes, back from Seattle, and back in Provo. Now, this is pretty crazy- ALL of my roommates have moved out for the summer, and the new tenants can't move in till tomorrow... SO the place is completely empty, except my room. So incredibly weird. And eerie. And just incredibly sad. As I walk through the kitchen, up the stairs and down the empty hall, my mind is just flooded with all the memories from this past year. We've come a long way- and now I realize the most how much I really depend on those kids. It's so empty.

But tomorrow, the new roommates will arrive. They can hardly replace my old roommates, of course. And I don't anticipate them to at all. But I'm curious to meet them.

I am incredibly tired. I am stressed about classes tomorrow. I don't exactly know what I'm taking, and I don't want this term to be just a waste. Man alive. But it'll turn out.

baseball, washington, college, home
