Christmas to New Years
Tim came up the weekend of Christmas eve and I went back with him for the week. We had an awesome time at his house. We went to his family Christmas eve party which was very nice. We hit the jackpot on loot this year for Christmas! We got tickets to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert complete with pyrotechnics and electric violins! It was the best concert I've been to yet! I highly recommend seeing them if you get a chance. Tim's work schedule was beneficial to us last week because he got to come home around 2 every day. We went to the bar and played pool one night, saw some movies and just had a blast being together for a whole week! It is hard to only see each other a couple weekend trips a month.
Tim got some good news about a job opportunity with state benefits up here. He goes for the written test on wildlife laws at the end of January and if he passes that he can go for the physical test! This job would give him enough money to save up for an apartment or possibly a condo. I would like to stay in this state for awhile if we can afford it. We are closer to some of our friends, if we settle close by here.
We went up to Maine for my family Christmas party and that was a complicated weekend of lots of driving. We still have a lot of issues to settle there, but some relatives are beginning to realize that they must choose a different way of living in the near future. Trying to convince my grandmother that taking the opportunity that is open now is best if she doesn't want to be stuck alone when Grampie's mobility slows even more has been a constant battle. I think we finally got through to her this weekend!
We came home New years eve and celebrated with a movie and chinese food. Tim went back home this afternoon, but the week was wonderful to have that much time with him!
