Last night I went putt-putting for the first time in ages. I wouldn't have thought it possible, but I believe I have gotten even worse! I'm horrible- but that's okay, you don't have to be good at it. As a guy from my church put it, "If I was good at putt-putt, I wouldn't tell anyone." But, atleast it was kind of entertaining. In front of us, there was a big group of guys playing and they were kind of slow because there were several of them. So, they told us we could "play through" and we went around them basically. Well, let's just say we weren't the speediest players either and one of them skipped a hole (I think he was trying to stay with us). So, every time I got up to hit the ball, he was right there behind me, watching- it made me rather nervous cuz he wasn't bad looking either. Then, I embarassed myself by hitting my ball right into the water beside the green. Ah! But, as I stepped aside to look for my ball, the guy, spotting it before me, climbed right down the rock things and fetched it from the water. How nice, right? After our nice little game of putt-putt, Em and I went to watch some people from our church ride the go-karts- though I think they could be fun, I was a little scared to try it myself. Besides, the guy running the go-karts was, well, he was hot. So I didn't mind just watching :) But, then, those guys from putt-putt got in line for the go-karts. One of them, not the better-looking one though, proceeded to ask either Emily or myself to ride with him. Now, the go-karts, if you know, aren't exactly the roomiest things, so it would have been pretty awkward even if I had known the guy. He was like, "Come on, I'll you ride with me." I was like um, thanks, but no- not when you're standing there with smoke billowing out of your mouth- gross. So, needlessness to say, I didn't ride with him (and neither did Em), though in a way I kind of wish I had just to see what the people from my church would say- they wouldn't expect it in a million years. I think it could have been quite funny if it wouldn't have meant me embarassing myself by jumping into a really awkward situation. Maybe if he had been the cute one lol.
Afterwards, all the girls from my church went back to Brittany's house to spend the night. Tell me, why is it that when girls get together like that all we do is eat junk? Why can't we all exercise at sleepovers instead of stuff our faces? I guess that just wouldn't be as much fun though. Oh, and this all went on top of the Steak and Shake we had just had for dinner (I highly recommend the double chocolate peanut butter sundae milkshake by the way- very tasty!). We watched this super-cute movie, called Shag. It's from, like the 50s or something and they all go down to Myrtle Beach and find guys. It was so cute- Chip and Pudge were adorable together!
This morning I had the wonderful pleasure of waking up to the blasting of "We will rock you." For those who don't know, half-sleeping and sudden, glaring music don't make for the best combination.
We went to see the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (sorry, Suz-they picked it). Wow, was it a great movie- I loved it! But, I had no idea it was going to be so emotional! I'm not going to give anything away, but I want a Costas!
Anyways, that's enough for now- really not looking forward to the ACT on saturday- mwah.
