The Beginning of Exam Week

Today I killed at least one tree.

I ran copies of all my final exams for this week.  I'm being as green as I can by only making a class set of each test, but 30 copies of a 20 page test is still a heck of a lot of paper, even double sided, and I have four of them.  Hopefully the kids will do well and I'll be able to get the grading done in a timely fashion.  I'm doing as much as possible on scantron sheets so I can get through it.  The kids are psyched to get to have a multiple-choice test for once, though there are still portions of each test that I'll be grading by hand.

This weekend I finally got settled in after Christmas.  I got things moved around so that I could set up my iPod stereo on my bookshelf.  I got all the paperwork figured out in my office area.  I had a build-up of papers to file.  I didn't manage to go chair shopping, so I guess that will be a project for this week or this weekend.

Today I think I almost had an anxiety attack in the afternoon.  I spent my entire planning organizing exams and cleaning my desk, so I was just a frenzy of activity from 7 this morning until 3 this afternoon.  I came home and made myself chill out for a little while.  My 7th period was unusually good today though.  They could tell that I was stressed out, and thus, it wouldn't be a good idea for them to get on my last remaining nerve.  I had a bunch of kids come in to see me after school today as well, looking for missing assignments, tutoring, or makeup exams.

Exams start tomorrow afternoon, and hopefully the rest of the week will be mello.
